Teachers will plan and host a Family Engagement Activity for students and parents to share information about Computer Science career opportunities, what students are learning about computer science and computational thinking, and how parents can support their students in studying computer science.

Three of the Teach Tech Kentucky micro-credentials - Recognizing and Defining Computational Problems, Collecting, Visualizing, and Modeling with Data, and Beginner Programming using CS Tools and Technology – offer opportunities to engage your students with hands-on learning and bring the concepts you’re teaching to life with technology devices. OVEC will provide the technology devices you need in your classroom to make it possible! Using these devices is not required.
Michaela Gray, a student teacher in 2021-2022 at iLEAD Academy, tested devices in her work on the Teach Tech KY micro-credentials and curated these resources for all Teach Tech KY teachers. Michaela is available to Teach Tech KY teachers for additional support as you get started with devices in your classroom. She’s a teacher, too, so she’s available in the evenings and on weekends.
